We began our Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser today. We are sure that everyone’s family has been affected in some way by heart disease and this is our opportunity to support the Heart Foundation in the valuable work that it does to support people with heart conditions. Every little bit of money helps. We set our school goal at $500 and we hope that we can exceed this target. SRC will be getting on board with this from a social justice perspective – it is part of our responsibilities as Catholics to do what we can for others. Every day the students will be skipping and this can be added to their times on their entry. Students should be able to skip at home as well with the skipping ropes provided during remote learning.
Parents are asked to follow the steps on the information flyer sent home today with their child. Once children are registered on the Jump Rope for Heart website then information is available; parents will be able to track their child’s skipping progress and important dates such as our ‘Jump Off’ day. If parents would prefer to make a cash donation, this can be done through the school via the classroom. A record will be kept of sponsorship.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with your child’s classroom teacher or Jenny Miller.
