Dear Parents/Carers,
Re: School specific information for commencing onsite schooling in Term 4
First of all, thank you for doing such a wonderful job with the remote schooling. It is not easy juggling all your other commitments and supervising your child/children with their school work. We are now able to outline for you the return to school for term 4.
At St Michael’s, all students from Prep to Year 6 will be commencing onsite schooling from Monday, 12th October providing the health advice doesn’t change. The first week of term 4 has been designated by the Government as a continuation of remote schooling, therefore all students will be doing remote schooling from Monday 5th October to Friday 9th October. The exceptions to this are those students who are attending onsite schooling for the designated reasons. They will continue to be supervised at school during this week. Parents will need to ensure that they get their Intentions form into the office by Wednesday, 16th September.
Student Learning Packs for the first week of term 4 will be available for pick up on Thursday, 17th September. The change of day is due to the school closure day on Friday, 18th September for staff professional learning.
Please note, as we are required by DOSCEL to temperature check every child upon entry to school we will be having entry points for students at the main office and at the church entry (inner gate). The Temple Street entry will remain locked. We are unable to staff this in the morning but want to ensure students’ safety by having two entries that include access for students who walk or ride to school.
Please get in touch with me if you have any further questions. I will make sure that you are updated with any changes as they arise.
Regards
Jenny Miller
